Support my "Behind the Bible Project"

There is more information available about the world of the Bible now than any other time in history since it was written, yet the average Christian has no access to it. This is unfortunate because the biblical authors assumed their readers knew the geography of Israel and the culture of the ancient Israelites. I believe one reason the Old Testament seems so weird to most people is that we are so disconnected from the world of its authors today. In light of that, I am committed to doing what I can to bring the ancient context of Scripture to the church through a video series called "Behind the Bible."

"Behind the Bible" is:

(1)...a series of short videos that illustrate the geography, history, and archaeology of the Bible on site.

(2)...designed to be widely accessible and easy to understand. They will be useful for everyone from casual church-goers to Seminary students.

(3)...accessible to anyone for free on Youtube.

The series was inspired by my Physical Settings class taught by Dr. Paul Wright at Jerusalem University College this past semester. I want to give the church a free but quality tool to help put the Bible back on the map, even if it's just in a small way.

Here's how you can help: traveling in Israel is expensive, and many of the sites are off the beaten path and can only be reached by renting a car. I currently have almost 50 video projects planned, but financially I will not be able to do them all. Every gift I receive will help put me back on the road and get me closer to my goal of completing the "Behind the Bible" series.

If you believe in this project, you can give to me directly via Paypal to Mcchan37@gmail.com. Your contribution is greatly appreciated, and it will put me to work immediately. Videos will be uploaded here
as they are completed.
